The maps are designed so that missions can be completed in many different ways. Under our orders we also have geisha Aiko, a master of camouflage and creating events to distract guards, thief Yuki, who can set traps, and old man Takuma, acting as a sniper. The team consists of Hayato, a ninja who prefers stealth attacks, and Mugen, a samurai who specializes in open confrontations and can fight several enemies at once. Avoiding detection is facilitated by the interface, which shows the range of sight of the guards patrolling the maps. In most missions enemies have a definite advantage in numbers, so it is necessary to rely on a stealthy approach. During the game the action is shown from the camera placed high above the characters' heads. Released on PC, PS4 and XONE, Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun is a tactical strategy game in which we command a small squad of agents performing risky tasks on enemy patrolled maps.

It is this team that the player leads during the campaign, which consists of thirteen extensive missions. To do so, he enlists the help of a group of five specialists in assassination, sabotage and espionage. The new Shogun decides to bring peace to the entire country, which requires quietly eliminating all opponents dreaming of rebellion. The game takes us to Japan in 1615, the early period of Edo Era. The project was developed by Mimimi Productions (known for The Last Tinker: City of Colors) and published by Daedalic Entertainment.
